— Our Story —
Things that have lived before, lived well.
Up in Smoke began with a single Prince Albert tin. The kind of object that lingers in your mind for weeks. It wasn’t rare, and it wasn’t valuable. It was the colors, softened by time, and the small dents that told you it had been carried in someone’s pocket, opened a hundred times, set down on a hundred counters. It had lived a life before it ever found its way to us. And once you start seeing that, the life inside an ordinary old object, it’s hard to stop
We specialize in vintage history. Tobacco tins, period advertising, smoking accessories, typewriters, telephones, and the rare ephemera that tells the story of an era. It’s a focused world, and a deep one.

“Sourcing pieces from Up in Smoke has been like discovering a private archive. Every object arrives with a story, and the curation is unlike anywhere else I’ve shopped”
