Northern Electric Wall Phone — Rare Burled Walnut Bakelite
A highly sought-after Northern Electric wall telephone in rare burled walnut Bakelite — a special-order colour that is extremely difficult to find in excellent condition. Northern Electric telephones were produced in Canada and are closely related to Western Electric models. This one has been painstakingly restored and is in beautiful condition with no damage.
Restoration
The burled walnut Bakelite body has been buffed and polished to a high gloss. The heavy deep brown handset has been highly polished. The original Northern Electric #5 dial has been cleaned, calibrated, and lubricated — it produces a slight clickety-clack sound. The solid brass finger wheel has been freshly nickel-plated, the nickel finger stop polished, and the brass bells polished to bring out their best sound. Wall cord fitted with a modular plug — just plug it in and use it.
Many hours have been spent restoring this telephone, and it works beautifully — ready for a lifetime of use.
